VAN NUYS – Police today arrested a motorist suspected of killing his neighbor by pinning him against a wall, then running from the scene, police Officer Sara Faden said. Juan Antonio Lopez, 23, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and manslaughter after fleeing the carnage at 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 7000 block of Lennox Avenue, police said. Lopez was attempting to park his 1987 Toyota Supra at his apartment complex when he struck his neighbor, Ever Robinson Chavez, 23, who had been standing with friends when he was pinned against a retaining wall. Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene. last_img
