GAA NEWS: LETTERKENNY GAELS FACE AODH RUADH IN CRUCIAL LEAGUE CLASH

first_imgLetterkenny Gaels Club News:This weekend our senior and reserve footballers make the long journeyto Ballyshannon to take on Aodh Ruadh in the league. Throw in timesare 1.30pm (reserve) & 3pm (senior). All support welcome. The U-16 footballers were defeated by St. Eunan’s in the championshipon Monday evening last. The lads are now through to the Northernsemi-final where they will meet either Mac Cumhaills, Buncrana orMilford. Last Sunday morning at the Glebe the first round of the 4 week U-8mini league took place. All players and teams performed very well andit was great to see so many parents attending the training.Underage football training for U-6, U-8 & U-10’s continues this Sundayat the Glebe. New members especially welcome. 11am-12noon. There isalso a session on Wednesday evenings. Please bring mouth guards anddrink.Last Sunday our U-10 and U-8 hurlers took part in a blitz in Convoy.The U-10’s won 7 and drew 1 game while the U-8′ s played very well andrecorded some great victories.The U-16’s hurlers play Strabane Shamrocks in the League semi-final onThursday at Pairc na nGael. Throw in 6.30pm. Please come down andsupport the lads. Well done to Paddy Page who played for the Donegal U-15 hurlers lastweekend in Carrick on Shannon where they were runners up in the AllIreland ‘c’ competition.Cahir Doherty, Brian Diver, Peader Connaghan and Rory Boyce also werein action at the weekend when they played for the Donegal U-16 hurlingteam at Cusack Park in Mullingar. The lads reached the ‘b’ final andlost out to a physically stronger Meath team. All 5 acquittedthemselves exceptionally well throughout the tournaments.Camogie training continues at the pitch on Mondays from 6-7pm for U-14and older girls and Fridays from 6.30-8pm at the pitch for U-8, U-10 &U-12.
