Waller provides medical reports and special features for KTLA Prime News. She has been providing television news reports for KTLA/WB for 20 years. She has won many awards for her reporting and anchoring. Waller began her career in television news in 1972 and has freelanced for many major networks, and traveled with CBS News, “60 Minutes” and CBS Reports. She joined KTLA/WB in 1984 as a freelance news writer. In 1987, she was promoted to reporter. In 1993, she moved up to a “KTLA Prime News” anchor position. She is a community activist, frequently discussing the role of women in television news, and donating her time to numerous charitable organizations. WHITTIER — Marta Waller, popular on-air personality for KTLA Prime News, Wednesday will be the celebrity guest speaker at the 57th Annual Luncheon/Fashion Show Benefit sponsored by the Whittier Guild of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, at the Radisson Hotel of Whittier, 7320 Greenleaf Ave. The event begins at 10 a.m. with boutique shopping and a silent auction, followed by a luncheon and fashion show by Georgiou. Tickets are $50 per person. Proceeds will benefit Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, which is a key source of hope and help for seriously ill, disabled and injured children. CHLA is internationally recognized and continues as one of the leading hospitals in teaching and research.
